Jun 16, 2014 (newstodate): EU may enforce additional requirements on air cargo arriving at EU airports from Russia.
The new measures will be an effect from the sanctions on Russia in the wake of the Ukrainian crisis.
The measures will mean that Russia will not be included in the list of countries allowed to send pre-checked airfreight shipments directly through airports in the EU without further security measures, and shipments and containers from Russia will therefore need to pass further scanning before being released for onward handling.
