Jun 25, 2014 (newstodate): Starting from July 1, 2014, Emirates SkyCargo is consolidating all Scandinavian freighter operations at Denmark's Copenhagen Airport.
On September 13, 2003, Emirates performed its first landing at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport with a Boeing 747-400F on a weekly route between Dubai and New York via Gothenburg, adding a second operation from November 20, 2003, later going as high as to five weekly operations during a certain period.
The carrier is currently offering two weekly Boeing 777F freighter rotations between Gothenburg and Dubai, but this traffic is thus to be moved to Copenhagen instead from July.
In addition to Emirates' Scandinavian freighter service, the carrier also uses Copenhagen Airport as an en-route stop on two weekly freighter flights between Dubai and Chicago, but these flights offer limited capacity for sale in the Scandinavian markets.
