Jun 26, 2014 (newstodate): The Belarus carrier Belavia is to modernize its aircraft fleet, opting for a Boeing solution.
The carrier has now place an order with Boeing for delivery of three Boeing 737-800NG aircraft as its first direct order placed with the aircraft manufacturer.
In the carrier's fleet are already six Boeing 737-500 and nine Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
The new aircraft are slated for delivery by 2017, and will allow the carrier to open up longer-distance flights to new destinations.
