Jun 02, 2014 (newstodate): The Swedish IATA export airfreight market dropped by 12.3 percent, y-o-y, in April 2014, reflecting the influence of the later Easter holidays compared to last year.
A total of 7,533 tonnes of cargo was thus carried by IATA carriers, among which SAS Cargo ranked #1 with 991 tonnes, down 22,7 percent, y-o-y, followed closely by KLM Cargo with 913 tonnes, but rising 3.8 percent.
Third came Lufthansa Cargo that also dropped 23.6 percent to 750 tonnes, #4 was Emirates, down 18.4 percent to 635 tonnes, and Finnair Cargo was #5 with 554 tonnes, down 4.1 percent.
Together the top-5 IATA carriers accounted for 51 percent of the IATA export cargo in the Swedish market, while "others" accounted for 26.2 percent.
