May 30, 2013 (newstodate): Following its plans announced last year, Ukraine International Airlines is opening flights to Sweden this summer.
Starting from June 1, 2014, the carrier will introduce three weekly rotations with Boeing 737 on the route connecting Stockholm and Kiev, going up to daily flights from July 1, 2014.
At Kiev Boryspil International Airport the flights from and to Stockholm will connect with UIA-coded flights to and from Bangkok, Tehran, Erbil, Astana, Almaty, Tbilisi, Batumi, Tel Aviv, Dubai, Baku, Yerevan, as well as the cities of Ukraine.
The now-defunct Ukrainian carrier Aerosvit operated daily flights between Kiev and Stockholm, Sweden, from 2003, even going up to 10 weekly rotations before folding it wings from January 2013.
