May 21, 2014 (newstodate): Lithuania's Siauliai Airport will see the launch of a series of charter flights to destinations in Turkey.
Formerly primarily operating ad-hoc cargo charter flights, the addition of charter flights will seek to attract passengers from both the Lithuanian and Latvian markets.
Flight operations to Turkey will start from September 4, 2014, under an agreement with Siauliai Airport and organized by the Lithuanian tour operator Go Planet Travel.
Expectations are that the flights will be provided by the Lithuanian charter and ACMI carrier Grand Cru Airlines' Boeing 737-300 or Boeing 737-400 aircraft.
