May 28, 2014 (newstodate): While out of production for years now, the Swedish SAAB turboprop aircraft are still selling well and operating around the world.
In one major deal, C&L Aerospace and Rockton earlier this year purchased 14 Saab 340B aircraft from Endeavor Airlines, a subsidiary of Delta Airlines, and Rockton has now also acquired two SAAB 2000 aircraft from Denmark's leading turboprop leasing company, Nordic Aviation Capital.
More than 400 operational Saab aircraft are today still flying with 64 operators in over 30 countries.
Until the production lines were closed in 1999, SAAB had produced 459 SAAB 340 and 63 SAAB 2000 aircraft.
