May 28, 2014 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Ural Airlines is continuing to bolster its fleet of Airbus aircraft.
The latest addition on May 22, 2014, is an Airbus A319, the carrier's fifth, joining the fleet now comprising 34 Airbus aircraft including 19 A320, 10 A321, and now five A319 aircraft.
Ural Airlines launched its fleet renovating program in 2006, and the airline has kept purchasing new aircraft every year.
The carrier received its first Airbus A320 aircraft in June 2006 and expectations are now that it will also consider acquisition of long-haul aircraft such as the Airbus A330.
