May 26, 2014 (newstodate): Kyrgyzstan hopes to be lifted off the EU black list of airlines in 2014.
Inspectors from the EU have performed a new audit of the country's aviation infrastructure in April 2014, ending up in some 20 recommendations after which the country's airlines may be cleared for entry into EU airspace, and Kyrgyzstan expects this to happen already from this autumn.
All 18 carriers registered in Kyrgyzstan are on EU's blacklist and thus barred from operating into EU airports, but the country is eager to have the ban lifted on at least the more important airline companies.
