May 1, 2014 (newstodate): Asiana Airlines has reduced its freighter service in the Norwegian market.
Moving its flight operations from Sweden's Gothenburg Landvetter to Oslo Gardermoen Airport from from September 7, 2012, Asiana Cargo has now cut one weekly frequency, from three to two Boeing 747-400F freighters coming into Oslo Gardermoen Airport from Frankfurt for its onward flight to Incheon, South Korea.
Primarily fishing in the Norwegian seafood export market, Asiana Airlines earlier saw potentials for adding one or even two more flights through Oslo before deciding instead to reduce the offering.
In March 2014 the carrier ranked 5th in the monthly CASS statistics lifted 916 tonnes of export cargo out of Norway, equaling a market share of 8.5 percent, and in February the loads totaled 1,077 tonnes representing 10.9 percent of the market and securing a ranking as #3 in the market.
