May 26, 2014 (newstodate): The Russian carrier AirBridgeCargo is the country's fastest-growing airline among Russia's top-five companies in January-April 2014.
The carrier was ranked #1 in the statistics for the period, with a total of 963,004 tonnes carried, up 15.8 percent, y-o-y.
#2 was Aeroflot, 208,448 tonnes but down 17.8 percent, followed by Transaero 112,958 tonnes and up 7.8 percent, Volga-Dnepr with 54,095 tonnes and down 50.7 percent, and finally S7 Sibir with 25.522 tonnes and up 3.1 percent, y-o-y.
Together, the top-five carrier accounted for 90.3 percent of all air cargo carried by Russian airlines, against 87.3 percent one year earlier.
The total Russian market was 1,511,530 tonnes in January-April 2014, down 0.3 percent, y-o-y.
