The traffic by the carrier will be 18 percent over last year's schedule, necessitating a further expansion of the fleet of Boeing 757-200 aircraft, from 18 in last year's traffic to 21 in 2014.
Icelandair is now offering service to Keflavik International Airport from Boston, New York JFK, Seattle, Denver and Toronto with seasonal services from Washington, D.C., Minneapolis-St. Paul, Orlando Sanford, Halifax, Anchorage, Newark, Vancouver and Edmonton.
The latest addition to the network was the opening on May 14, 2014, of flights to Vancouver, with two weekly rotations during the summer season.
Through its hub at Keflavik, Icelandair offers transfers on flights to more than 20 destinations in Europe.
