May 08, 2014 (newstodate): The Bulgarian carrier Air Via is back in German market with seasonal flights to Varna and Bourgas at the Black Sea Coast.
But the flights are not lifting summer tourists only; air cargo is an important part of the business, with cargo sales and marketing provided by Transnautic Aircargo Agency in the German market.
-Air Via will be operating Airbus A320 flights to and from Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Berlin,Frankfurt, Dresden, Erfurt, and Leipzig with cargo space for sale on all destinations and flights, says Hans-Martin Sturz, Transnautic Aircargo Agency.
-It is rather a challenge to market cargo on seasonal flights as it takes time and effort to build customer confidence season by season, in contrast to a year-round service. But in the case of Air Via we do see a promising business case.
-The Black Sea harbors are crucial to the maritime logistics industries in the region, and there is a steady and strong demand for time-sensitive transportation of ships spares and engine parts. These shipments come not least from many German producers and service providers in both North and South Germany, and Air Via adds flexibility to the provision and forwarding of these items by air, rather than by lengthy road transportation.
-Other industries benefiting from our service offerings with Air Via include German providers to the Black Sea tourist destinations that include for instance printed materials, beverages and consumer goods. In short, Air Via is an important airline principal for Transnautic Aircargo Agency, says Mr Sturz.
Air Via, based at Sofia, has a fleet comprising five Airbus A320-200 aircraft, two of which are operated for the Icelandic LCC WOW Air.
