Apr 24, 2014 (newstodate): The shareholders of the Lithuanian carrier Small Planet Airlines have established Small Planet Group.
Small Planet Group now comprises the airlines Small Planet Airlines in Lithuania as well as the subsidiary Small Planet Airlines Poland, but will in the future increase by adding other aviation related investments yet to be announced.
Earlier part of the Lithuanian company Avia Solutions Group, the two Small Planet Airlines companies were sold in March 2013 through a management buy-out to Vytautas Kaikaris, Small Planet Airlines CEO, who owns 70 percent of the company shares, and Andrius Staniulis holding the remaining 30 percent.
Small Planet Group UAB will own 100 percent of the shares of the leisure carrier Small Planet Airlines UAB and 90 percent shares of Small Planet Airlines Sp. z o. o.
Small Planet Airlines UAB also holds a 25 percent stake in the business class charter company KlasJet.
