Apr 22, 2014 (newstodate): When the Russian carrier Transaero takes in its first of four Airbus A380 aircraft in 2015, it will push the aircraft's passenger seat capacity further upward.
Air France is currently holding the record with its A380 configuration totaling 538 seats, followed by Lufthansa with 526 seats.
But Transaero will seat a total of 652 passenger in the A380 as it enters service in 2015.
The record may, however, be broken by the French carrier Air Austral that has announced plans to seat 840 passenger in the A380 in a single-class layout.
At the low end, Korean Air has configured its A380 aircraft to set only 407 passengers.
