Like in the case of Kaliningrad, the Russian state will support air services to and from Crimea with subsidies to cut air fares and cargo rates.
In the face of expanding EU and US sanctions against Russia after the separation of Crimea from Ukraine, Russian carriers Aeroflot, S7 Airlines, VIM-Avia, Red Wings and Ural Airlines serving routes between Crimea and Russian destinations will probably have to use Russian aircraft rather than western-type aircraft.
