Apr 14, 2014 (newstodate): The new Slovak cargo carrier under formation, Air Cargo Global, has rounded yet another milestone on its way to launch of business.
The carrier has reportedly now received its AOC, to be followed by the commercial license allowing for start of services with its first freighter aircraft, a Boeing 747-400F on an lease contract with Avion Aircraft Trading.
The new carrier with HQs at Bratislava is majority-owned by Slovakian national Igor Bondarenko, with a minority stake held by Andrey Goryashko, formerly heading Aeroflot Cargo.
The new carrier will take off from where Air Cargo Germany left when it lost its AOC on April 18, 2013, focusing on cargo operations between Europe and Hong Kong, with its prime hub at Frankfurt Airport.
