Apr 10, 2014 (newstodate): Ukraine International Airlines is responding to increasing demands in the market for more capacity on the route between Kiev and Vilnius, in Lithuania.
Starting from March 29,2014, the carrier has added four more weekly flight on the route, going up to 11 rotations until the end of the summer season, by October 25, 2014.
The route is served with Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
The airline is especially seeing more demand for transit flights via Kiev to destinations in Ukraine, Europe, South-East Asia, and the CIS countries.
Serving the carrier as its GSSA since June 1, 2013, is Strike Aviation.
-There is a strong interest in this route among Lithuania's freight forwarders that are especially using the carrier's cargo capacity via Kiev onward to destinations including notably Dubai, Moscow, Baku, Kazakhstan and Tbilisi, Andrius Antanaitis, JSC Strike Aviation LT General Manager, earlier told newstodate.
