Apr 15, 2014 (newstodate): Taking effect from April 14, 2014, the Latvian carrier airBaltic has contracted Sky High Agency as its cargo GSSA in the Finnish market.
-We are quite happy with this new customer and are keen to develop the Finnish market further for airBaltic, says Agris Sedolins, Sky High Agency managing director & owner.
-airBaltic is operating small turboprop aircraft in the market, but with five daily rotations between Helsinki and Riga the carrier does have a role to play, and after all the Dash 8-400 aircraft still allows for shipments up to the size of 1.10 m matching the requirements of much general cargo, in addition of course to small express shipments.
-The extensive European and CIS network of airBaltic is another significant asset of airBaltic that also provides very short transit times through Riga Airport. All in all, we consider this a very interesting business case that will now be marketed widely in the Finnish market, says Mr Sedolins.
Owned and managed by Agris Sedolins, Sky High Agency was established in the Baltic in January 2010, adding an own office in Finland by the end of January 2011.
