Apr 14, 2014 (newstodate): Aviator's new ground handling business at Finland's Helsinki Vantaa Airport will gain fresh momentum from the start.
-With effect from June 1, 2014, Aviator will welcome SAS as an important new customer at Helsinki Vantaa Airport, adding to our current customer portfolio comprising Norwegian - today our single largest customer, KLM and Turkish Airlines, says Andreas Vassilaros, Aviator Project Director.
-Needless to say, we expect much from our new company in Helsinki where we will be offering a full handling package including passenger, ramp and de-icing services.
-As for cargo, we will thus be offering also cargo ramp handling while the ex-Servisair cargo terminal will remain with Swissport.
-We will now await the final approval by the EU of the deal with Swissport, presumably announced within a month, and after this we will start re-branding the company at Helsinki, now parked under the name of Helsinki Handling NewCo Oy, says Mr Vassilaros.
