Apr 25, 2014 (newstodate): In March 2014, Norway and Denmark took the lead in the Nordic region as to growth in IATA export cargo volumes.
Volumes in the insatiable Norwegian export airfreight market were up again by 36.6 percent, y-o-y, to 70,715 tonnes, beating Denmark's growth by 4.1 percent to 6,706 tonnes.
The Swedish IATA export cargo market remained almost unchanged, up only 0.2 percent to 8,849 tonnes, while the Finnish market was alone in declining 2.3 percent, y-o-y, to 3,493 tonnes in March 2014.
On the top-10 list, KLM Cargo reigned in Norway with 1,514 tonnes, up 72.6 percent, in Denmark SAS Cargo was #1 with 1,088 tonnes, up 7.9 percent, while Sweden also saw SAS Cargo #1 with 1,101 tonnes, but down 23 percent, y-o-y.
Finally, Finnair retained its undisputed #1 position with 1,412 tonnes, but down 9.8 percent, y-o-y.
