Apr 02, 2014 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic has now launched flights to its new UK destination: Aberdeen, in Scotland.
Starting from March 30, 2014, airBaltic is offering four weekly rotations on the route with Boeing 737 aircraft.
Expectations are that besides serving the growing leisure traffic market, the route would also generate traffic via Riga to destinations that, like Aberdeen, are strong in energy production, oil drilling and exploration such as Baku, in Azerbaijan, as well as to other destinations in CIS and Eastern Europe.
