Apr 25, 2014 (newstodate): Estonia's Tallinn Airport has further strengthened its competencies in the global aviation business with the opening of a new business aircraft maintenance hangar.
Behind the project is Panaviatic that has commissioned its new 5,000 sq m hangar complex on a lease contract with Tallinn Airport.
The new facility has been designed to accommodate housing of eight corporate aircraft and one Boeing 737 aircraft, and with these new premises Panaviatic is aiming at attracting more corporate jet aircraft maintenance business from Russian and CIS.
With this latest addition, Tallinn Airport has increased its total hangar space to 16,000 sq m.
In 2012 another MRO provider at Tallinn Airport, Air Maintenance Estonia commissioned its new 14,000 sq m hangar adding to its existing maintenance hangar and holding plans for construction of a third hangar to be used for aircraft painting.
