Mar 12, 2014 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines has announced plans for a further expansion of its services from Istanbul to airports in western Denmark, Aalborg and Billund.
Since June 11, 2013, the carrier has been offering three weekly rotations using Airbus A319 aircraft on the routing Istanbul-Aalborg-Billund-Istanbul, and plans earlier comprised two new flights from the start of the coming summer schedule April 29, 2014, to be routed "the other way round", Istanbul-Billund-Aalborg-Istanbul.
Latest news is that Turkish Airlines will add a sixth weekly service from May 29, 2014, also to be routed Istanbul-Billund-Aalborg-Istanbul, ending up with three flights on either of the two triangular routings.
With these now fligthts, Turkish Airlines will offer more than 80 weekly flights between Turkey and airports in the Nordic region, including also three daily flights to Copenhagen and Stockholm, twelve weekly flights to Oslo and Helsinki, and ten weekly flights to Gothenburg.
