Mar 13, 2014 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is to add a further new destination as part of its efforts to optimize the utilization of its capacity during the slack summer season.
After the recent days' announcement of flights to Bucharest, Romania, and Varna, Bulgaria, airBaltic is now also adding flights to Burgas, also in Bulgaria.
As in the case of the flights to Varna, airBaltic is to cooperate with the Russian-owned tour operator's Latvian company Tez Tour on the flights to Burgas that will be operated twice weekly with Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
While the carrier is thus building up a network of seasonal flights in summer 2014, it has yet to announce which routes will be cut in frequencies or laid down during the summer due to low demand in the market.
