Mar 28, 2014 (newstodate): Icelandair and Aeroflot have signed a new code-share agreement taking effect from March 30, 2014.
Under the agreement, the two airlines will reciprocally add their codes to flights between Iceland and Russia via third-countries.
Thus flights between Keflavik and Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and St Petersburg operated by Finnair will carry Aeroflot's code, and Aeroflot's flights between Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport and Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Amsterdam and St Petersburg will carry Icelandair's flight code.
Icelandair launched flights to St Petersburg, its first Russian destination, from the 2013 summer schedule, with two weekly flights from Keflavik during the season.
