Mar 13, 2014 (newstodate): Operating in ground handling at German airports from March 2012, Havas Europe is seeing its business volume growing.
Within a span of only four months, Havas Europe launched handling services at Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Stuttgart, in all cases driven by contracts with Air France/KLM.
The business in Germany opened rather modestly with only ticketing services for Air France/KLM, but plans have been to expand into more handling areas, ending up with a full handling package.
As one latest move along these lines, Havas Germany is currently preparing to expand the offering at Hamburg Airport to include also Passenger and Load Control services for Air France/KLM and the Latvian carrier airBaltic.
-We are in negotiations with several airlines for handling in Germany, and we believe we will increase our volume at German airports significantly by the end of 2014, says Mutlu Baskan, Havas Country Director Latvia, currently also holding responsibility for Havas Germany's Business Development & Sales and Marketing activities.
