Mar 31, 2014 (newstodate): Air cargo flown on 35 Russian carriers dipped in volumes in the first two months of 2014, compared to last year.
Thus, volumes were down 4.5 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 129,666 tonnes.
Again, the top-5 cargo carriers accounted for 76.4 percent of these totals, compared to 74.2 percent in January-February 2013 and thus strengthening their leading role in Russian air cargo industry.
In the top-5 group, ABC was up 13.4 percent, y-o-y, to 62,117 tonnes, Aeroflot was down 18.1 percent to 19,553 tonnes, Transaero was up 8.2 percent to 8,667 tonnes, S7 was up 3.1 percent to 5,195 tonnes, and Volga-Dnepr was down 55.5 percent to 5,128 tonnes.
