Mar 31, 2014 (newstodate): Iceland's ACMI provider Air Atlanta Icelandic is now operating six Boeing 747-400F freighters after its latest addition this week.
The company is not, however, precluding the possibility of future acquisitions of the airbus A330-200F aircraft.
-We have looked into this new option and do find it to be an interesting aircraft. Personally, I certainly like it, says Baldvin Mar Hermannsson, Air Atlanta Icelandic VP Sales & Marketing.
-There are, however still to few of these aircraft flying to really assess its potentials while the concept does look quite attractive. It is thus still to early to see how it will fit in with industry.
-Also we have so far had no customer requests for this freighter. Should such a demand arise we would be fully capable of adding the Airbus A330 freighter to our fleet, says Mr Hermannsson.
