Feb 06, 2014 (newstodate): Since January 16, 2014, China Cargo Airlines is handled by Worldwide Flight Services at Copenhagen Airport, adding fresh impetus to the handling company.
-It is no secret that, volume-wise, 2013 was not a booming year for us at Copenhagen Airport due to the steep shortfall of cargo on another Chinese customer, Air China Cargo that cancelled most of its flights during the year, says Thomas Petersen, WFS Denmark station manager.
-In contrast to that, China Cargo is a steadfast operator on the route between Shanghai Pudong Airport and Copenhagen Airport using Boeing 777F with capacity to carry 100 tonnes on each flight in and out of Copenhagen, accruing to some 3,500 tonnes of cargo per month with full loads on four weekly rotations.
-The cooperation with China Cargo Airlines is surely boding well for a re-bounce in volumes in 2014, says Mr Petersen.
Served by Cargo Care as China Cargo Airlines' GSSA, the carrier made its first appearance in Copenhagen Airport in January 2007 and has been handled by Spirit Air Cargo Handling until the move to WFS from this year.
