Feb 11, 2014 (newstodate): Starting from March 30, 2014, Riga Airport will gain another direct connection to Ukraine.
UTair-Ukraine plans to launch traffic on the route between Kiev Zhuliany Airport and Riga, offering a daily flight using ATR-72-500 aircraft and adding fresh competition to airBaltic that has served the route for years.
Since August 17, 2010, the carrier's Russian mother company UTair is also offering flights between Moscow Vnukovo Airport and Riga.
UTair-Ukraine operates a fleet comprising three Boeing 737-800, one Boeing 737- 500, five ATR 72-500, and three CRJ200, and plans are to add a further two Boeing 737-500 aircraft this spring.
