Feb 03, 2014 (newstodate): Russian carriers saw their total cargo and mail volumes rising only slightly by 1.9 percent, y-o-y, in 2013.
Together the 35 airlines registered in Russia carried 879,033 tonnes of cargo in 2013, against 961,229 tonnes in 2012.
The Top-5 cargo carriers increased their share of the market from 72.5 to 76.2 percent, carrying a total of 762,985 tonnes in 2013.
The five companies are AirBridgeCargo with 425,443 tonnes increasing no less than 20.9 percent, y-o-y, followed by Aeroflot, 176,456 tonnes but down nine percent after ceasing freighter operations in 2013, Transaero with 69,736 tonnes and 5.9 percent, Volga-Dnepr with 53,836 tonnes and down 19 percent, and finally S7 Sibir with 36,515 tonnes and down 2.5 percent, y-o-y.
