Feb 21, 2014 (newstodate): Successor to JAT, the Serb carrier Air Serbia is rapidly expanding its aircraft fleet as as result from its cooperation with Etihad.
In the fleet now are five Airbus A319 aircraft operating alongside seven Boeing 737-300 and four ATR72 aircraft.
The carrier has also signed a contract with the Australian LCC Jet Star for lease of two Airbus A320 aircraft, with the first one to enter service with Air Serbia by late March 2014.
The A320 aircraft will then replace the remaining Boeing 737-300 fleet that will be phased out with the last flight on March 31, 2014.
Also two more Airbus A319 will be delivered in March 2014, completing the first round of fleet expansion and renewal.
