Feb 24, 2014 (newstodate): After a lapse of five years, Aeroflot is soon to return services to Georgia.
The carrier is expected to set up flights between Moscow and Tbilisi from April, offering daily rotations on the route served with Airbus A320 aircraft.
The decision reflect a gradual normalization of relations between Russia and Georgia that were engaged in a war in 2008.
Since then, all air traffic between the two countries have required flight connections via third countries entailing lengthy travels and extra costs on travelers.
