Feb 25, 2014 (newstodate): Landing at 52,000 tonnes, air cargo volumes at Prague Airport in 2013 were down by two percent, y-o-y.
-A decline in cargo volumes was visible mainly in the first half of 2013. Since July 2013, air cargo traffic has been growing again, says Eva Krejci, Prague Airport Communications Director and Spokesperson.
-This trend was copying the over-all development of aircraft capacity and frequency at the airport.
-For 2014, we are optimistic in terms of air cargo development. The global economic environment as well as the country's economy is improving. The upcoming summer schedule promises a slight increase of the airport's operational results which should have an effect in recovery of air cargo traffic as well, says Ms Krejci.
