Feb 14, 2014 (newstodate): Details from the Polish carrier LOT's restructuring program under investigation by the EU Commission have now emerged.
The number of aircraft in LOT's fleet will be cut to 31 against 36 today, with all 10 Embraer E-170 to go, delivery of the last remaining two Boeing 787 aircraft ordered to be delayed, and only four to be used by the carrier, with the last two in the fleet to be put on lease.
In the fleet are now three Boeing 737-400 that will also leave LOT as their leasing periods expire around the turn of 2014/15.
