Feb 18, 2014 (newstodate): The Lithuanian carrier Air Lituanica is preparing for its first full summer season.
The carrier is planning to see its aircraft taking off from Vilnius Airport at least 25 times a week, increasing the frequency of flights on regular routes.
Currently offering flights to Berlin four times weekly, flights to Berlin will be operated five times a week from March 5, and to daily rotations from March 17.
Starting from March 13, the frequency of flights on the Prague route will be increased to five a week, and from February 14, Air Lituanica will launch flights to Paris CDG Airport with four rotations, increasing to five from May.
Flights will be operated with the carrier's own Embraer 175 aircraft as well as with a CRJ 200 on a short-term lease from the Danish airline Cimber.
Earlier, the carrier has said that it plans to add two more Embraer aircraft in 2014, but no news on this has so far been announced.
Air Lituanica received its AOC on June 26, 2013, allowing it to operate own aircraft, and on August 5, 2013, Lithuania's Civil Aviation Administration issued the Commercial Activity License for Air Lituanica.
