Feb 27, 2014 (newstodate): The Lithuanian MRO provider FL Technics opened its new 8,000 sq m facility at Kaunas Airport in Q3, 2013- and is seeing brisk business.
The new facility is designed for maintenance of short and medium range aircraft as well as for long-range wide-body aircraft including the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Since the start, FL Technics at Kaunas has served a range of airline customers including TUI, Wizzair, Kolavia, Small Planet Airlines planes and Rossiya.
The company is now working on attracting new airline customers such as Finnair, Pegasus Airlines, Belavia, Aer Lingus, and Transaero.
With the sound development, FL Technics will grow its staff of technicians from currently 120 to 300 by the end of this year, with plans for growing to up to 600 in the coming years.
