Feb 05, 2014 (newstodate): The Danish charter and ACMI provider Jet Time has taken delivery of another Boeing 737-400 converted freighter.
In the fleet are thus now two Boeing 737-400F as well as one Boeing 737-300F freighter as well as two Boeing 737-300QC aircraft.
The lease of one QC freighter is to expire this summer, and the carrier is considering various scenario in this connection.
-We will definitely continue operating Quick Change aircraft in the future as well as we have succeeded in carving a niche in the ad-hoc freighter market as well, says Klaus Ren, Jet Time CEO.
-A Quick Change aircraft serves as back-up for our freighter fleet, besides adding capacity to passenger transportation during seasonal peaks and serving as a back-up capacity in this segment as well.
-We do not currently have plans beyond this, but should opportunities arise, we will certainly be prepared to move further along the road, says Mr Ren.
While not confirmed by either party, the three all-freighter aircraft are operated on an ACMI contract with TNT out of Liege.
