December 22, 2014 (newstodate): Uzbekistan Airways has now taken delivery of its second converted Boeing 767-300 freighter.
The first freighter was delivered in November and is now to perform its first commercial flight from Urumqi, in China's Xinjiang province, to Tashkent.
The second aircraft has also now been delivered after completed conversion by ST Aerospace Services Co and will enter service after a C-check and new painting in Tashkent.
The two freighter aircraft will be deployed to routes from Navoi Airport, in Uzbekistan, to destinations including Dubai, Tianjin, Frankfurt, Aktobe in Kazakhstan, and New Delhi under a program comprising 13 weekly rotations.
The two Boeing 767-300 converted freighters will replace the two Airbus A330-600F aircraft, leased from Korean Air Cargo and operated since April, 2009, on flights to Europe and South East Asia, using Navoi Airport as an air cargo hub between the two regions.
