Dec 19, 2014 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines is to increase frequencies on its triangular route route from Turkey to two Danish destinations Aalborg and Billund.
The service was launched in June 2012 with three flights on the routing Istanbul-Aalborg-Billund-Istanbul, going up to five weekly rotations from spring 2014.
Now the carrier will increase to daily flights from June 28, 2015.
In 2013, Star Alliance members Turkish Airlines and SAS entered a code-share agreement allowing Scandinavian passengers to fly from Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsinki, Aalborg and Billund to Istanbul, continuing on Turkish Airline flights to Ankara, Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman and Izmir.
Turkish Airlines also added its code to more than 20 destinations in Scandinavia and Finland.
