Dec 18, 2014 (newstodate): The Swedish construction company Skanska AB has been selected to build a new cargo terminal at Poland's Katowice Airport.
The terminal will be designed in close cooperation with its future users, not least DHL Express, its main tenant.
The new terminal will have equipment to cope with handling of up to 3,500 shipments per hour and technology to secure short lead times.
Katowice Airport is the key hub for DHL Express in serving the southern parts of Poland, including some 80 flights per month on the route Leipzig-Katowice-Pyrzowice-Kiev-Katowice-Pyrzowice-Leipzig
