Dec 10, 2014 (newstodate): The Lithuanian charter and ACMI carrier Small Planet Airlines is to increase its aircraft fleet in 2015.
-We will be adding four more units for the 2015 operations. In the fleet now are 11 Airbus A320 aircraft, so we will go up to 15 in 2015, with one aircraft to serve as back-up capacity, says Vytautas Kaikaris, Small Planet Airlines CEO.
-One of the four new aircraft will be positioned in the UK to operate for Cosmos, replacing Monarch that decided to reduce its activity in the charter market.
-The remaining three new aircraft will be allocated to our subsidiary in Poland, bringing its fleet to a total of eight aircraft in Summer 2015.
-We will be expanding our business in Poland with existing clients and also welcome TUI, who have become a new client of Small Planet for its summer 2015 operations.
-With these commitments, all our capacity will be fully booked for next year's summers season, says Mr Kaikaris.
