Dec 04, 2014 (newstodate): The Belarus cargo carrier TRANSAVIAEXPORT Airline has been put up for sale by its sole owner, the state.
A tender has now been opened, and bids will be evaluated on December 30, 2014.
According to the tender documents, the successful bidder will undertake to modernize the fleet of freighter aircraft that currently comprises seven IL-76 aircraft as well as construct new hangar facilities, all within two years after the contract taking effect.
To make the offer even more attractive, the future owner must also add at least two Boeing freighter aircraft within two years, as well as maintain the current staff and the brand of the aircraft.
Earlier this year, plans were to lease two Boeing 747-400F aircraft from the Slovak carrier AirCargoGlobal, but it remains uncertain if this deal is actually to go through.
