Nov 10, 2014 (newstodate): Uzbekistan Airways has now taken delivery of its first converted Boeing 767-300 freighter aircraft.
The carrier has placed to Boeing 767-300 passenger aircraft for freighter conversion at Singapore-based ST Aerospace Services Co, and the second aircraft is slated for delivery in December 2014.
The Two Boeing freighters will replace the two Airbus A330-600F aircraft, leased from Korean Air Cargo and operating since April, 2009, on flights to Europe and South East Asia, using Navoi Airport as an air cargo hub between the two regions.
In the fleet of Uzbekistan Airways are a total of nine Boeing 767-300ERF aircraft, including the two converted freighters.
