Nov 27, 2014 (newstodate): UTair-Ukraine, the Ukrainian subsidiary of UTair Aviation, is throwing the towel into the ring due to the deep effects from the current upheavals on the country's civil aviation.
The carrier has announced that it will return all five ATR72-500 to its owner, the leasing company at Toulouse.
The aircraft have been used on the carrier's domestic routes in Ukraine, but this market has dropped so low as to make operations unfeasible.
After this, UTAir-Ukraine still operates three Boeing 737-800, one Boeing 737-500 and three CRJ200 aircraft on the charter market.
