Nov 19, 2014 (newstodate): Lithuania's Vilnius Airport is to see more of Ukraine International Airlines in 2015.
The carrier has announced the start of seasonal services between Odessa, at Ukraine's Black Sea coast, and Vilnius, offering two weekly rotations with Boeing 737-400 aircraft during the period June 27-September 14, 2015.
UIA already operates flights on the route between Kiev and Vilnius with up to 11 weekly rotations with Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
The route was originally served by now-defunct Aerosvit and taken over by UTAir Ukraine from March 22, 2013, offering three weekly rotations with ATR 72 aircraft.
UTAir Ukraine's venture proved short-lived, however, as the carrier pulled out again from May 18, 2013, and was replaced by Ukraine International Airlines from June 1, 2013.
