Nov 11, 2014 (newstodate): TNT has announced its plans for stepping up its services in Europe with the construction of a new international depot in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and the start of air services to Hanover in Germany.
Both developments are part of the companys strategy to invest in its core European network, enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
The 6,350 sq m facility at Hanover will be commissioned in June 2015.
TNT currently offers five weekly Boeing 737-400 flights operated under a contract with the Danish carrier Jet Time, connecting Hanover to the company's main international air hub in Liege in Belgium, Hanover to Billund in Denmark, and Oslo, Norway, to Hanover.
The daily overnight flight from Liege to Hanover Langenhagen Airport enables delivery of urgent shipments to the region.
After reloading, the flight continues to Denmark. The flight from Hanover to Liege, which originates from Oslo, departs Hanover every night, allowing for late collections in northern Germany and next-day delivery all over Europe.
