Nov 27, 20154 (newstodate): The process for implementing IATA's e-AWB is now also approaching the Baltic region.
Sponsored by IATA Nordic, a meeting in Riga, Latvia, on November 25, 2014, marked another step in the efforts to spread the activity to include also the Baltics, with participants including representatives from ground handling companies in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania as well as from Estonia's and Latvia's customs authorities.
Leading the process in the region will be airBaltic, Lufthansa Cargo and Finnair Cargo.
Details are now to be settled, and a plan for the implementation process will soon be worked out.
