Nov 13, 2014 (newstodate): The Slovenian carrier, Adria Airways has plans to set up a base in a new market - Poland.
The carrier will allocate one leased Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft at Lodz Airport, Poland, in 2015 to provide 12 weekly rotations between Lodz and Munich from the start of the summer season 2015 as well as opening up flights between Lodz and Amsterdam.
Adria Airways is already offering six weekly rotations between Lodz and Munich since the start of this summer's schedule.
The carrier is also operating flights between Ljubjlana and Warsaw, and plans are further to expand operations in Poland with new flights at Bydgoszcz.
The airline's expansion plans are supported by the recent EU ruling that Slovenian state loans between 2007 and 2011 to the carrier were legal and within the EU framework.
Adria Airways now operates a fleet of 12 aircraft including two Airbus A319, two CRJ200 and six CRJ900, as well as two CRJ700 aircraft added in 2014.
